New Microsoft Surface Tablet!

Wow, Microsoft has put their stamp on two new devices that take direct aim at the iPad. One is pointed at serving as a powerful business device, more memory and a larger hard drive, the other more of a mobile device with lighter specs across the board. The new tablets will run the new Windows 8 operating system. Interesting reveal from Microsoft is that the devices will have a keyboard, and a little kickstand on the back of the device. I know Windows 8 was rumored to be touch-screen only, but this development confirms that you'll be able to do both. I like that idea! The other thing that makes these devices special is simple but impactful. There's a USB port on both. I don't know why the lower model is USB 2.0 vs. 3.0, but I can bring content to and take content from a Surface tablet. Off the cloud, you know, the "old fashioned" way. The prices are not yet announced, they can really get a good response from consumers if they make these affordable to many. It's a surprise to many that soemthing this cool is coming from Microsoft, a company in dire need of a public relations party. Let's see how they price it and what other goodies it includes.

Microsoft credits VaporMg as the reason it was able to seamlessly include the Surface's built-in kickstand. I've seen kickstands on tablets before and being able to easily prop up your tablet is something we definitely appreciate.
