The chase

I sometimes feel I'm chasing something I can't catch.  This is what having multiple projects cooking and all set to complete does to a person, I guess.  Odd, because I know I'll actually "catch" and wrestle them to the ground, but this feeling keeps you in an anxious state.

An example would be Embroidme's software, EMeBOSS.  This project is a year and a half in the making, and so very close to general release. Our franchisees will love it, it will ease their duties and make processing orders that much easier.  For awhile, we had a bunch of problems fending off naysayers that were sure it wouldn't work well.  They were wrong, it is going to really make a difference for the franchisees at the store level.  Now it is so past most people's radar that there's not much chatter about it - good or bad. It's almost like the project took SO long, people have given up or forgotten about the new one coming.  That's ok, when they receive and install it, they'll be in for a good surprise -- it works really well.

Our Expo - another instance I can elaborate upon. The event is cooking, we've got a great venue, a great theme, and less than 3 months to finish the preparations.  It's been more of a task getting suppliers and sponsors, some companies are holding on to their money a bit tighter these days.  Now we're seeing the inevitable occur, they are signing up to exhibit and sponsor the events as in years past, our pre-registration is higher going in than ever before, so things are looking good for Expo.  I think the room rates may drop for all, I'll learn more in Vegas next week.  Airfares are fairly priced and affordable to a popular destination, it really is all coming together.  Day to day different challenges come up but we solve them and press forward.  It's great to see the event unfold, even though it's weird to witness so much planning happen in just 3 or 4 days! This is a good bunch of work, working nicely.

I guess if it was easy & painless, everyone would be doing so many things at once. And having them work out positively! I do suffer from a lack of patience, which can deliver a self imposed stress that's ahrd to aquire elsewhere.  All things considered, I know we're on a good course and in a very short time, so will many of our franchisees.
